I am featured in today's edition of "Inside A-Channel" on AChannel.ca/ottawa.
I'm producing tonight's 6:00 pm show, and our anchor, Sandra Blaikie, interviews me about what's coming up. It should be online by four o'clock.
Before you say anything, I'm having a bad hair day, hence the pouffy thing at the front (it's time for a haircut), and the red Senators T-Shirt is because our station observes Wear Red Friday every week, in honour of Canadian military personnel. Also, you'll see that the computer I'm working at has two monitors. The right-hand side one has the photo of me and my sibs.
Okay, watch away and comment away: I'm ready for it.

I SAW BOB! I SAW BOB!
Aw, reminds me of the long ago Timmins TV times. You were awesome!!
Aw, shucks, Gnat.
I enjoyed that.
At one point, when you grabbed for your stories, you were very 'newsguy'. You didn't outwardly show signs of being jaded or anything, but I sensed this "what the Hell is story #2 again?" about you.
I could be totally off the mark, but it was definitely as if you had been writing something specific, and having to stop and shift gears for the taped bit might have annoyed you just a little...
Maybe just a bit, because it twigged the wee bit of lurking frustration that I haven't been able to get back on the air in almost seven years. And yes, I was busy, but you gotta take one for the team every once in a while.
Geez, you're pretty perceptive for an old guy!
Well, regardless of how old or perceptive I may be, I thought you handled it with style.
Thanks again, JB. I guess I'm not as out of practice as I thought I might be.
I figure that over 10 years and four months of anchoring the six o'clock news in Timmins, I spent over 2,500 hours on-camera just doing the news. That doesn't count all the telethon hosting gigs, fill-ins on talk/interview shows, etc. Heck, I even did the occasional hosting of the Santa Claus show, and called bingo numbers on Saturday nights seven or eight times, while the guy who normally did it and his back-up were off the air while running for city council.
