The colourful season is over

Yesterday: 26C and sunny. Today: Relentless rain and 11C. But for once, I did not waste the beautiful weather yesterday, and actually got off my ass and went for a walk with my camera.
Unfortunately, the autumn colours around Ottawa have passed their peak. But I did get this rather interesting photo that illustrates that. I guess there's no denying that winter is indeed on its way. This is Canada, after all. And being a native Northern Ontarian, I know how to cope with it. It beats the Hell on Earth happening in Southern California right now.
Have a good rest of the week.

Sodom and Gomorrah. Burned and buried. If the Bible story were to be taken as prophecy, S&G would be cities in Southern California.
Is SoCal going to slide off the shelf first, or burn to the ground?
Honestly, if there is a place I never want to live, it is there.

Nice dead leaf, by the way.

They just interviewed and evacuee on Canada AM... he said, where he grew up it was always fear of Tornados... add in Hurricanes and Flooding Rivers and the US is a virtual paradise!

Shame about the fires really. I checked with my friends in the LA regeon, all is safe for him.

Shut up, Bob. Winter is NOT around the corner. It's far, far away still. FAR! I was wearing shorts a few days ago. There are still green trees in my neighbourhood. So what if you have a picture of a dead leaf? That doesn't prove anything. Who died and made you meteorologist guy, anyway? Eh? Eh? Winter... pfftt...

One of two things just happened:

1) I touched a real raw nerve in UP;

or b) Someone we know and love is PMSing.

I'm not even going to touch that PMS remark because it's so beneath you, Bob and because, I, personally do not believe in PMS, per se. I believe in the right to spazz anytime I wish. And because I think a person should be allowed to enjoy beautiful, beautiful autumn without being beat over the head with the spectre of winter every 5 minutes. So there.
