I take back what I said about Drew Carey
They're into Showcase Showdown #2 as I write this, and he's not bad at all. As usual, he laughs a bit too much and too heartily at his own jokes, but I think he'll do alright on The Price Is Right. Actually kind of refreshing from old Bob Barker.
I do wish, however, that he would lose the horn-rimmed glasses. Sure, it's part of his schtick, but he's beyond that now.

Nobody would recognize him without the glasses. He'd just be another fat, middle-aged guy and nobody wants to see them on TV after working with them all day.
I think he's one of the most naturally funny people in entertainment today. I like his spirit, and the skits and improv on his American version of "Whose Line Is It" was some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen on TV. I think it's cool that he's going to continue Barker's "have your pet spayed or neutered" thing as his closing line. Shows respect for Bob, and Bob's commitment to animals.
I've just always thought Carey was very cool - in an 'overweight middle-aged guy' kinda way.
;-)
I too like Drew Carey. Funny dude!
