My goodness, it's quiet in Blogland lately. The blogs I drop into and participate in are really quiet the past few days.
Let's start off March (by the way, WHITE RABBIT x 3) by making some noise. I'll start:
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROLLLLLLL UP
THE RRRRRRRRRRIMMMMMMMMMMM!
You're next.

WIDE RABBI'S! WIDE RABBI'S! WIDE RABBI'S!!
Happy Channukah?
Robbie-Bobert, we should keep tabs of who wins what on Roll Up The Rim...Keep a 'rolling tab', if you will.
I don't drink Timmy's coffee (sorry Ma, it gives me heartburn - I have to drink java from companies whose names start with "s"...), but I might participate with a few steeped teas...They're delicioso...
Good idea, JB. We can keep this post going all during the promotion, and report whatever we win.
Now that I'm confirmed diabetic, about the only prize that I can accept is the big one!
You're Newsguy Bob, after all, so I know you've already seen this information, but for those of you who don't have access to a newswire service, some reading on diabetes from a file I'll call "this just in":
A new study suggests the emerging diabetes epidemic is far greater than experts had anticipated.
A study by the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences found that in 2005, almost 9% of Ontarians over age 20 had diabetes. That's up 5.2% from a decade earlier.
Experts say the provincial figures mirror what is believed to be happening in the rest of Canada.
That jump means that diabetes among our population far exceeds the 6.4% worldwide prevalence rate projected by the World Health Organization for 2030.
The study also found that diabetes is afflicting more and more younger adults. For people aged 20 to 49, incidence almost doubled between 1995 and 2005, to 3.5% from 1.8%. Among those 50 and older, rates jumped to 17.1% from 10.6% over the same period.
The research is in this week's issue of The Lancet (publication dedicated to diabetes).
Bob/JB, since I am not allowed to claim any prizes, I will keep them aside and send them to you...As for the big one, do I at least get a ride in it??
Yeah, CQ, I will give you a ride in it -- that is, if you give me the vehicle instead of JB. In fairness, he probably needs it more than I do, to chauffeur the tinks around until they're 16 and have their own licences.
That's right...and then I'll need TWO first prizes...one for each.
;-)
By the way, CQ?
When you said "as for the Big One"?
...I was afraid of what the next line was going to be...
;-P
p.s. Just send me the muffins
JB, I knew one of you would be all over that line ;) This year there are only donut rims, but you can exchange for a muffin or cookie if you like...:)
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.... muffins.
CQ, are donut rims anything like donut holes?
~blink, blink~
Heh-heh. JB used "rim" and "hole" in the same sentence.
